Nigeria 100 Naira 2022

The Nigeria 100 Naira banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria in 2019 to commemorate the 100th year of Nigeria as one united nation. The obverse of the note consists of coconuts, a green-to-purple SPARK manilla, a cotton boll, and a picture of Chief Obafemi Awolowo who was a former Premier of the Western Region. The reverse depicts manillas, the coat of arms of Nigeria, cowrie shells, five Nigerians wearing native dress, with baskets, playing musical instruments, and dancing. Primitive figures of an alligator, fish, turtle, snake, and leaves are also shown in the underprint. The 151 x 78 mm paper bill bears a motion windowed security thread with the Nigerian flag and 100. It also has a watermark that reflects Chief Obafemi Awolowo and an electrotype 100 CBN. This commemorative issue of the Nigerian 100 Naira banknote is in uncirculated condition.
